Colorado holds Family Weekend on October 15 to 18, 2026, built around the home game against Utah on Saturday, October 17 at Folsom Field. Three things to handle, in this order.
Register for Family Weekend
CU’s Family Weekend registration is sold out for 2026 and CU has closed it. The tiered packages, Buffs at $35, Silver at $75 and Gold at $100, are no longer available for this year. Check CU’s official Family Weekend page for any updates.
Buy football tickets separately
The ticket for Colorado vs. Utah is not included in any package and sells separately through CU Athletics. Coach Prime demand makes this a tough ticket, so buy early, and the resale market is your backup.
Lock lodging before both
You do not need tickets in hand to book a refundable room. In a town with this little lodging, rooms are by far the scarcest resource, so reserve first and adjust later.
2026 Colorado home football schedule
Colorado plays six home games at Folsom Field in 2026. Family Weekend is the Utah game on October 17. The Texas Tech Homecoming game on October 3 and the Kansas State game on Halloween are the other marquee Big 12 home weekends, so plan those the furthest ahead. If Boulder is full, the 28th Street corridor near the Twenty Ninth Street mall holds most of the town’s rooms, Louisville and Superior to the south add value, and Broomfield and the Denver area are the big overflow. Whole-home rentals around Boulder are a strong option for families.

Use the East Campus park-and-ride
On-campus parking near Folsom is very limited and mostly reserved. The East Campus park-and-ride, about a mile and a half out, runs around $20 with a free game-day shuttle to the stadium, the easiest option for visitors driving in.
Park downtown and walk or bike
Boulder is compact and bike-friendly, so many fans park downtown or near Pearl Street and walk or bike the mile or so to Folsom. If you stay downtown, leave the car and walk.
Buy any campus lot ahead
The Euclid and Regent garages take public parking at around $35 by text-to-pay, but they fill fast and sell out for Family Weekend and marquee games. Reserve ahead and arrive early.
