UC Riverside refunds tuition on a declining schedule after the semester starts, so timing a withdrawal matters.
Withdrawing from some classes but not all classes makes a student ineligible for any refund under this policy, since the schedule applies only to a complete withdrawal from the term.
Refund schedule: Full refund (100%) through the first day of instruction, then 90% for days 2 to 7. After that it splits by student type: new students on federal financial aid step down through the low 40s percent out to day 42 before hitting 0%, while other students drop faster, to 50% by day 8 to 21, 25% by day 22 to 35, and 0% from day 36 on.. UCR’s Academic Strengths
