How do parents get to University of Central Florida? Travel guide from Orlando International Airport

By air: Orlando International Airport (MCO) is your arrival point. The drive from MCO to the main UCF campus takes roughly 20 minutes in light traffic, the two points are about 18 miles apart on State Road 417 (the Central Florida GreeneWay). MCO is consistently one of the busiest airports in the country, particularly in summer, so build buffer time into your itinerary. Security lines and baggage claim can be slow on peak travel days.

By car: UCF sits in east Orlando, accessible primarily via State Road 417 (toll road, E-PASS or SunPass accepted, or pay by plate) and via SR-408. Parents driving from the Tampa or South Florida directions will likely use I-4, and that warrants its own warning.
