Lincoln Airport (LNK) sits approximately five miles from campus. Omaha Eppley Airfield (OMA) is approximately 55 miles east of Lincoln and has direct service from most major hub cities. The drive from OMA to Lincoln takes about 50 minutes following I-80 west.

Lincoln is a genuinely pleasant mid-size city of approximately 300,000 people. Nebraska refunds tuition on a declining schedule after the semester starts, so timing a withdrawal matters.
The withdrawal is only official, and the refund clock only starts, on the date the transaction is actually processed, either by the student dropping all classes in MyRED or by submitting a Cancellation/Withdrawal Form to Husker Hub, not on the date the student stopped attending.
Refund schedule: UNL uses a weekly step down schedule for full semester courses: 100% refund through about the first week, then declining through 75%, 50%, and 25% across the following three weeks, reaching 0% refund by about week 5. A separate very early no-cost window also applies: dropping within the first six days of the term removes the charge for that class entirely, before the tiered percentage schedule even starts.
